Beware of counterfeit books on Amazon
Amazon’s loose policies promote illegitimate copies of George Orwell’s books. This is alarming for writers in general. See article from ENM news, “Paging Big Brother; In Amazon’s Bookstore, Orwell gets a Rewrite.”
Writers’ rules
What works for you in writing? A common rule is to write so many words every day. I’ve never been able to do that, partially because other things in my life interfere and partially because I sometimes don’t feel like it. When I’m blocked, I often leave a story for a while, like days or weeks, to let things marinate. Then, I find I have a fresh perspective when I return to the story. I tend to write more from inspiration, which many say is not the best way. Having said that, I do find that if I sit down at the computer and start writing, ideas seem to come, even when I’m not really inspired.
